Philosophy

I believe that truly impactful teaching and training comes from a place of ongoing studentship. Remaining dedicated to learning myself allows me to offer more benevolent and effective work for both horse and human. I have worked with a kaleidoscope of professionals and methodologies - both within and beyond the equine industry- all formative to my approach. My work does not find a focal point in one discipline, I welcome horses and riders from all backgrounds. With patience and curiosity as my guiding principles, my goal is to develop a genuine foundation of clear communication between horse and rider. This simple yet vital focus builds the confidence, trust, and unity we all seek with our horses.
I draw from classical dressage, in-hand ground work, liberty work, and functional movement, always with careful attention to the biomechanics of both horse and rider. Each horse is an individual and deserves the time and support necessary for their unique progression. We move forward only when there is consistent, mutual comprehension achieved. Sometimes the door opens backwards- progress is not always linear. Often, we peel back layers or revisit earlier work as part of the natual ebb and flow of training. I offer my training and teaching services out of Yorkfield Stables located in the Seacoast of New Hampshire and am currently accepting students and horses for training.
